What’s got your attention?

Happy new year and decade to you all! What a privilege it is to have seen a new decade.  The fact that I’m still alive and well, I give glory to God for keeping me.

As we usher in this new year and decade, I felt the need to talk the issue of turning back our focus on God.

For a number of us 2019 was full of distractions and it led to taking our eyes off God while giving our attention to our issues. And these issues nearly buried some of us.

The Lord wants us to return our focus on Him. Where our hearts and minds have focused on situations, we will need to go back to the place of repentance for enthroning our problems above God.

Most importantly, we need to ask the Lord to show us the things that are keeping us distracted (it could be even social media) and get off them to seek Him with the passion that we once had.

I do believe that as we focus on Him, He will not only heal us but also work on the issues that we have tried time again to sort out on our own but we have been unable to.

There have been a lot of prophecies concerning this year and this decade about what God wants to do in the lives of His people, and now would be a great time for each of us to seek the Lord privately. I believe that He wants to release to each of us a word and instructions for the new and decade and that can only happen in the secret place. So seek Him, dear ones.

Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord ? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord , And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Psalms 24:3‭-‬5 NKJV

And as we get back to focusing on Him, let’s also invite the spirit of God to sustain and keep us because on our own, we cannot make it in this walk of salvation. We need you Holy Spirit, help us to continue to remain in stayed you.

Lastly, we are going to have to get to the place of TOTAL and COMPLETE surrender. The Lord wants us to give every area of our lives, He cannot just be Lord over somethings in our lives while we keep some to ourselves. He wants it all.

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.~ Colossians 3:3 NKJV

While the journey has been difficult, let go. There’s better in store.
