2018, Its Been Real!

What was good about 2018?

What a year it has been! I don’t even know where to begin. If anyone had told me at the start of this year that things would have turned out the way they have, I definitely wouldn’t have believed them. But who is like our God?! His word in Isaiah 55:8 says that,”For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways”. I am a living testimony of this verse.

Everything! Revelation 12:11 encourages us to testify of all the things that the Lord has done for us. There’s so much that I’m grateful to God for but I’ll list the major ones. So here we go!

Everything! Revelation 12:11 encourages us to testify of all the things that the Lord has done for us. There’s so much that I’m grateful to God for but I’ll list the major ones. So here we go!

  • I got born again! This is definitely the best and most important decision that I made this year. Everyday I’m grateful to God that He saved me. I’m not even sure how I made it for so long without Him. I cannot emphasize how important this decision is to every one of us, I doubt there is anyone who has gotten born again and regretted it. If all else had failed, try  Jesus.
  • He healed me! The Lord has healed me (both physically and emotionally) and continues to do so. Ever since I delivered my child I would experience a lot of pain in my hip and this would get worse during the cold season. But Jesus healed me, that pain is a thing of the past. He’s also been healing me from wounds I didn’t even know existed (read my post on wounds here)
  • He gave me new friends, genuine friends and strengthened bonds between myself and  old friends that were not previously not as close. These guys are awesome and i just love them. I thank God for them!

Special mention goes out to my cell members, they are just awesome people who just love God and each other. May God bless you guys richly.

  • Through His guidance, I was able to discover some hidden talents that I never knew I possessed. They have all just come out and I believe that I’ve barely scratched the surface and that here’s more in regards to discovering my various untapped talents and skills including starting this blog.
  • The Lord has given me direction with regards to my career direction. Lets just say that I was lost in this area and i thank Him for the clarify He’s given me with regards to this.
  • He continues to restore me. Joel 2: 25-28 has been my anchor scripture  and I thank God that He has kept His promise to restore everything that I had lost. He gave me true joy. In all the years I’ve lived this has been the year that I’ve experienced genuine happiness and laughter.
  • He has taught me a lot of new things but most importantly the power of hope, faith and His amazing grace.. Isaiah 49:23 AMP says that for they shall not be put to shame who wait and hope expectantly for me.

These are a few of the things that I will mention, because the list is long!!! But for everything He has done for me, I thank Him, for only He could do it for me. This is to encourage you all that everything that you require in life can only be found in Jesus. He is the only way, truth and life and in His presence there is fullness of joy (Psalms 16:11).

Has the walk been easy? Definitely not.
There are days when I slip up and but in such times His grace is sufficient for me (2 Corinthians 12:9), there are days when I feel discouraged and think I can’t go on but He says that for my strength is made perfect in weakness. The beauty about salvation is that we do not have to do it all, because we have the Holy Spirit who is our guide and teacher. But God wants us to come as we are, and He will fix the things in us that are broken. No one who is saved is perfect, and if anyone thinks he is then tat is deceptive thinking. We are all working out our salvation which is a process that we work on daily.

Thank you for taking time to read my posts as well, for the feedback I’ve received. I pray that we will all continue to grow together in the knowledge of Christ.

As we come to the close of the year, I’d like to wish you all a happy new year. I look forward to this journey with all of you as we go into the new year and I honestly cannot wait to see what the Lord has planned for 2019 because I know that He has great things in store for His children.
