Seasons Of Life

Hello everybody! I hope you’ve all been well. Long time no posts, I know. But I am back from my break and today I want to speak about seasons. I’ve been meaning to write this post for a long time but it seems that  it wasn’t time till now.

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. ~ Ecclesiastes 3:1 NLT

So, I don’t know about the rest of you but for a while now I have been in that place where I felt that things in my life haven’t quite gone according my plans. See, I thought I had it all figured out (I’m sure God laughed).

And to be honest, for a long time it had been a source of frustration for me. It’s something that God has been working on in me and I cannot say that I am there yet, but I am not where I used to be. Isaiah 55:8 says that

โ€œMy thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,โ€ says the Lord . โ€œAnd my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine,” and ain’t that the truth!

So I’m not going to talk about the beautiful season where everything is going great. I’m talking about the difficult seasons, those ones that make you want to scream, kick and cry over. The seasons why if you’re like me you ask God, “Why me!!!”. Hahaha.

They’re not pretty, but we have to go through them. He tells us in John 16:33 that, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.โ€

God works with time

Shocking right? One of my favorite scriptures is:

So two things here:

  1. God doesn’t just do things overnight., He works with time. That’s why He created the world in 7 days, took the Egyptians through 10 plagues which was probably over a certain period of time, and sent Jesus into the world as an infact and it took him 3, decades before He began His work on earth. God takes time even when He could just do it in the blink of an eye. This tells me that I need to be patient.
  2. Good things take time. The more effort you put into something, the more amazing the result is. Surely this is the same with God for He has made everything beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

You are Exactly Where you are supposed to be

First thing I want to tell you is that you are exactly where God wants you to be. As long as you are walking in obedience, He has placed you in that season for a reason.

See, He wants to teach you things that you wouldn’t otherwise grasp if you weren’t there. He wants to grow you, He wants you to stay hidden for a time while He works on you because the tallest trees always have the deepest roots.

It can feel like nothing is happening and if you’re like me you probably feel like you need to be moving, but He says to trust Him. Just  relax! He’s got this.

He knew that you would be in this place and when the season is over, He takes you to a new level.

Cooperate with God because the more stubborn you are, the longer He keeps you in that season. Be a good student ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

The Hard Times Eventually Pass

The beauty is that these seasons do eventually end and when you look back at what you went through and how God saw you through, it builds your faith in Him immensely. The hard seasons build us up, they’re not to tear us down.

Let’s be of good cheer!
