Take Homes From This Season

How are you doing guys? I really hope you are all well and living in the Word of God

I just thought to share with you all the lessons that I have learnt in this season.

Lesson #1 : Total Dependence in God

If there has ever been a time that I have had to wholly depend on God it has been this one. Especially because I have had so many changes that that have happened in literally every area of my life and if I had to do it on my own I definately would have been overwhelmed.

I’ve learnt that I can’t do it all on my own, I need to depend on God in everything and ask for His guidance because He would never mislead me.

Psalms 32:8 NLT ~ The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.

Depending on God has also meant learning to slow down and being okay with that. In a fast paced world like ours its easy to be so busy that we stop hearing Godand beginto be independent of Him

But in this slow down, He’s reminded me that its important to slow down, seek and listen to Him.

Lesson #2 : Focus on God

In this season, I have had to shut out every other noise that is contrary to what God says. Like I’ve mentioned before,I am not watching TV and following any news even on social media. I have been fellowshiping more by reading my Bible, praying and praising God. Because of doing this, I have peace. I am not worried about what tomorrow will bring because I know that God has everything under control.

John 14:27 NLT~ “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

By focusing on God, I have increased confidence in Him.

Lesson # 3: The Bible has come alive!

We are living in extremely exciting times because I feel like everything God has said in His word, we are living it. When He says in Psalms 23:4 that, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear for you are with me” it is true in this season.

We are seeing every promise of protection being made manifest right now. So if you were in doubt before, cast it aside. God’s got you! I’d say the same for prophecies being released by the genuine servants of God. They are coming to pass so fast!

Indeed, the Sovereign Lord never does anything until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets. ~ Amos 3:7 NLT

Don’t miss what God is saying in His word and through His servants (the true ones) as well in this season. Seek Him more and more.

Joshua 1:8 NLT ~ Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

Lesson # 4 : Giving Thanks

In the midst of a lot of bad news, I have found myself so grateful to God. It’s like God has magnified the small things that I had been taking for granted. I have had a lot to be grateful for and its made me realize that when you focus on what God has done for you,  the bad things are forgotten.

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.~ 1 Thessalonians 5:16‭-‬18 NLT

My relationship with God has improved greatly in this season, I have to say I am not the same person that I was at the start of the year. I would like to challenge you not to come out of this the same way that you came in. Allow God to change you.

Also let me know in the comment section what God has been teaching you and what you will carry with you even after this season is over.
